The opportunity to immerse myself in a culture | Enhancing Health

In Healthy Thoughts on 2010/01/19 at 00:56

To recognize there is a world outside of this United States, that cane help expand the mind and stretch the thoughts, While having the opportunity to teach and to learn about another culture, and another idea about things.

To realize we are part of a much more diverse group then we are lead to believe if we always just stay where we are comfortable. To take the time to experience it, while learning and teaching, it certainly seems to be in line with Travel The World so why not combine them and make it happen? It also relates to health by understanding diversity and grasping a separate culture and ways they stay healthy.

Health & PotHoles

and how it relates to the challenges now with ways to overcome …

“… The road to health, like the road to work, is full of potholes.”

As simple a quote as this may be it really speaks to a deeply ingrained truth of the situations of today, just as any journey has it’s challenges the one to Health is no different, it takes work and it has it’s ups and downs and by the idea of pot holes it could relate to many things, the simplest being that the journey is not easy. To truly improve your health and to grow better from it you need to do all you can to overcome the challenges through putting Focus Forward and making an effort everyday to make the most of it you can.

Your Health Today is more important then it has ever been before, in a society that has been overcome with obesity as a result, of lack of activity from an abundance of convenience and a life the same. Conveniences of today there is truly an abundance of reasons why change is so necessary particularly regarding health in this day and age. Certainly to set an example for the generations yet to be, to realize it is truly important to have habits that promote good health, consisting of daily exercise and a good diet. Both of these should be habits formed from a very early age which is really reliant on those who are in the here and now to begin making changes, to lead by example which is really the key to the entire situation.

The potholes are a constant, it is how you deal with them that really makes it far more clear how they are only as large as you make them, and you have a choice in the matter, to choose the size of the pothole and how to overcome it and grow beyond it. To do so takes first having a conference with thepersoninthemirror, to reach the necessary consensus to make a choice to become better then you are now. To make the choice to make your health a priority, by making changes, from taking one less trip by car, or one more walk, or a longer bike ride. All of these things though seem small can really have a major effect on how you interpret health. As it is not only about the Muscle ~ of huge body builders or the perfect size anything. It is more about, losing the weight and building confidence as you go and realize that it is not so bad at all, to take one more walk, to ride one more mile, in fact it becomes second nature as you work through the first 21 days required to form the habit, yet once you have the habit it becomes even easier to make the choice to make it a point to get a bit more exercise every day. Certainly the pot holes are going to be there but at least you see them and acknowledge them as you make the choice to step right over them. To become a better person by exercising just a bit more each day as each extra effort will result in a small accomplishment that through consistency will become just something you do everyday. It is at this point you start to realize that you can, you will and you have the ability to do amazing things.

As this is also part of this Bicycling and Health month it is necessary to also do some reading up on health using some of the following resources;

As each plays a part in the process of understanding how best to experience life as you know it in the here and now. via Raymond Marr (http://su.pr/1n8g1a) And to become more aware of #Bicycling and Health it is important to read on all aspects just not the HumanPower part of it.(http://su.pr/22kMx4) as that Twitter Search speaks to it, so come and join the conversation.

The Person in The Mirror

In it’s simple terms the person in the mirror is you, the one who is looking at it, It is a metaphor but it does hold very true to most any situation, as the one person who needs to make the change is that person right there the one who is looking back at you.

The Main Question is he/she;

Because really that Person in the Mirror is the only one who will know, who will be aware of getting things done and to make progress or to choose the MonoChromatic way of the MediaPuppets

Reach a Consensus;

In the simplest terms this means to understand and agree with the circumstance to make a ChoiceforChange to RedirectThinking and to decide for yourself that is truly what you want.
Because really the final determination is with you and you alone, if you are willing to MakeTheChange or live a BlackAndWhite life letting LifePassYouBy or instead taking the time to EmbraceChange for TheFuture.

Sensory Overload ~ Health Challenges

In Uncategorized on 2009/07/10 at 22:20

As I was writing a post on Bicycling And Health @ bike journeys that spoke to the idea that in today’s society with such a diverse set of connections, oftentimes we become so caught up in those challenges as to forget the simple things in life are truly the most important, things as simple as taking a walk, riding a bike, hiking a trail. Today’s society is certainly very much connected from Cell phones, to Laptops to everything in between with constant interruptions of nearly every waking moment, that is being dealt with throughout the day. This constant interruption has a tendency to drive a person crazy making it near to impossible to focus on the most simple of things.

Without that simple focus we just do what, in a sense we are programmed to do, to just follow suit because that is what we have been doing for so long, the problem with that idea and view is that we are in a different type of society now, and in this new society health has dropped as a high priority, except recently when people started realizing that with each pound/kilogram they are over weight they are also shortening their life span. While more of the celebrity folks that are well known are starting to promote better health more recently because there is an understanding that obesity has become a real issue. As a consequence for living life conveniently and the same is always recommended a brisk walk, some simple exercises, because that is what most people have these days is very little time. With the sensory overload they experience, it is much more difficult to revert back to times before, before media overload.

The real point of this post is to speak on this challenge we are facing, because it is necessary to make a change even if there is sensory overload, making a difference in your life by improving your health has become a necessary part of living life fully. There is more to come, thanks for reading.
